Information on the Development of Tourism in Zerendinsky District

 

The tourist cluster of Zerendinsky District includes 26 objects with a total bed capacity of about 1,500 places (1,486 places). The cultural-historical segment is represented by sacred objects (the mausoleums of Uali Khan, Bogembai Bi).

 

Geographically, Zerendinsky District is one of the most favorable places for the development of ecological and health-improving tourism. On its territory are located: from south to north flow the Shagalaly River and its right tributary Kylshykty. In the south of the district originate the Zhabay, Arshaly, Koshkarbay rivers – rivers of the Ishim basin.

 

Here is the state national natural park "Kokshetau".

 

In 2023, the GNNP was visited by 36,400 people, more than doubling compared to 2022 (17,100 people).

 

For reference:

According to the conducted chronometry, the total number of excursionists (one-day visitors) to the Ulgulin Waterfall and those resting on the beach zones (communal beach of Lake Zeren, BO "Laguna", "Eastern") in 2023 amounted to more than 30,000 people.

 

As a result of 9 months of 2023, accommodation places served 34,400 people (residents), with a growth of 53% compared to the same period in 2022 (2022 - 22,400 people).

 

The volume of services increased almost twice compared to the same period in 2022 (181%) and amounted to 512,700 million tenge (9 months of 2022 - 282,500 million tenge). The volume of tax revenues from the activities of tourism objects as a result of 2023 amounted to 175,400 million tenge, with a growth of almost 2.5 times (2022 - 73,000 million tenge).

 

In 2022, the district's tourism objects invested about 1.2 billion tenge in the tourism sector, or 2.9 times more than in 2021 (420,300 million tenge) (including the construction of a restaurant and cottages of the CSO "Aurora Garden" (project cost - 750,000 million tenge), DO "Ak Danat" (project cost - 74,200 million tenge), DOC "Parus" (project cost - 75,000 million tenge); construction of OPS (hotel, cafe) IP "Iskendirova" (project cost - 120,000 million tenge); construction of 2 cottages with a capacity of 20 beds of LLP "Zeren Tur" (project cost - 45,500 million tenge)).

 

As a result of 2023, investments in fixed capital in the tourism sector were not attracted.

 

For reference:

Two investment projects implemented in 2023 (construction of a sports complex of DO "Ak Danat" (cost - 80,000 million tenge, readiness of the object - 70%); expansion of BO "Dan El" (cost - 30,000 million tenge, readiness - 90%)) were transferred to 2024.

 

As part of the preparation of the ZKZ for the summer season, repairs of the road surface to tourist objects (north-eastern part: Zerenda Park, Ansat) were carried out, lighting of the automobile road along the recreation zone (length 5.5 km, 143 supports with lighting devices) was provided, and 5 video surveillance cameras were installed (including at the entrance to the territory of tourist objects).

 

Also, 4.7 million tenge were allocated from the local budget for the purchase and installation of containers for solid household waste, beach umbrellas, changing cabins. GNNP "Kokshetau" carried out landscaping of tourist trails (installed gazebos for rest, benches, garbage containers).
